I can't say I was at all surprised at this outcome, although I am really no longer interested in Comfort at this point. I truly didn't see Matt and Khourtni in the top 10 , so whether they went last week or this, it didn't make much difference to me. I think they are both gorgeous dancers, don't get me wrong, they just have not made an impact on this show (too many times in the bottom) and they failed to deliver on both of their numbers last week. The talent pool is too great this year, and you really can't afford to have a week where you are uninspired.
I loved Tyce's Cabaret piece, and I thought that (aside from Comfort's, which has been the same for three weeks) all of the solo's were impressive. This week will be interesting, as we can pretty much guarantee (on popularity that is) that Comfort, Thayne, Courtney, Gev, Will, and Jessica will be the bottom three couples. I just don't see the three power couples at the top messing up enough to hurt themselves. What will they do with this? Personally, I would love to send Comfort and Gev on their way. I think that with the right partnering, Thayne would make a great addition to the top 10, and wonder how much better he would have been paired with Courtney G.
Once we get through this week, all bets are off as far as the partnerships go-as everyone gets broken apart (another reason I think Matt and Khourtni had to go-what if she pulled Gev out of the hat?). I can't wait to see how things change after this week when both the partners and the dance styles are unpredictable.
I hope that these choreographers have left some tricks up their sleeve as we go through these next weeks. I can't wait for Wednesday,I have no engagements so the post will probably go up that evening!
Don't miss it...
