It was no surprise to me that Jorge went home, but truly Jasmine had a better vocal than did poor Anoop. I had bunko at my house last night, so my focus truly wasn't on the show, but I did get this much out of it. Idol has decided to take the show back from Vote for the Worst.com. This may sound controversial, but actually after reading about how it will work, it is not a bad idea. The judges can "save" one contestant one time only, if they are unanimous, up until we reach the top 5. The kicker is if they invoke the "save" the next week two contestants will go home. This is how the French version of American Idol works, and the reason they have gone to it is to save the likes of Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, and Michael Johns in the event that the American callers lose their collective common sense one evening.
After the announcement, Jasmine and Jorge had to feel pretty bad. No save for them.
One or two comments about Kelly and Kanye. Kelly, I LOVE to turn that song up on my I-touch when I am on the treadmill. It gets me walking faster. Kanye, please invest in a belt.
